The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized a coordination meeting with government officials of Zabul province. The meeting was organized to strengthen the work of Joint Media-Government Coordination Committee (JMGCC) in this province.
Deputy governor, directors of information and culture, propagation of virtue and prevention of vice, human resources, office of the governor directorates, AJSC provincial representative, spokespersons police command, GDI provincial directorate and office of the governor, media managers and local journalists of the Zabul province participated in this meeting.
In these meetings, improving the work process of JMGCC, journalists’ safety, challenges facing media work such as lack of access to information and financial hardships of the media houses were discussed.
The JMGCC was established in this province at the recommendation of the AJSC, to address the challenges facing media and journalists, and facilitating better coordination between government and the media.
The AJSC has been continuously working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and better coordination between government and the media.
