To address challenges facing media work, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized an advocacy and coordination meeting with Aminullah Obaid, governor of Daikundi province, Malawi Faizani, head of GDI’s provincial office, and Mawlawi Mustafa Salih, head of information and culture directorate.
The meeting was also attended by a number of media managers, local journalists and other government officials.
Sultan Ali Jawadi, AJSC focal point for Daikunid province, in addition to detailing the challenges facing media outlets in this province, emphasized the need for creating better conditions for journalists’ access to information.
Governor of Daikundi province promised better cooperation for journalists’ access to information and support for media houses, adding that media outlets should adhere to the IEA’s principles.
The AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a better cooperation between government and media houses.
