AJSC Officials Meet Head of Information and Culture Directorate of Kandahar Province

To address challenges facing journalists, access to information and creating better work relationship between media houses and government officials, officials of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized a meeting with Innamullah Samangani, head of Directorate of Information and Culture of Kandahar province.


Abdul Qadeem Wyar, deputy and acting director of the AJSC, in addition to discussing the need and importance of media work and journalism, called for facilitating better environment for media work, and emphasize on journalists’ safety.


Ahmad Lodin, AJSC’s coordinator for the southern zone, discussed the overall media situation in the province and elaborated on the AJSC’s work in the province so far which has enabled relatively better conditions for journalists.


Innamullah Samangani, head of Directorate of Information and Culture of Kandahar province, in addition to appreciating the work and activities of the AJSC, said that he will be do everything possible to address challenges facing journalists.


The AJSC has been working for facilitating better work relationships between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
