Officials of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) during their officials trip to the western zone, held a meeting with Mawlawi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, head of Directorate of Information and Culture of Herat province.
Abdul Jami Weqar, AJSC case manager, Abdul Hazim Gran, AJSC communications, Shamil Ahmad Mashal, AJSC’s western zone coordinator, and Farid Ahamad Ayubi, head of information department of information and culture directorate participated in the meeting.
In the meeting with head of information and culture directorate of Herat, issues such as the overall media situation in the province and journalists’ safety and access to information were discussed.
Director of information and culture, in addition to appreciating AJSC’s programmes and activities in the current situation, emphasized on supporting and cooperating with the media community.
