To address challenges facing media work, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized separate advocacy meetings with Mawlawi Akhtar Mohammad Muzamil, depty governor of Laghman province and Mawlawi Faisal Mukhtar, deputy governor of Nuristan province.
In the meetings, topics such as the overall media situation in these provinces, journalists’ safety and access to information, creating better working relationships between the government and media were discussed.
AJSC, in these meeting, emphasized on addressing challenges media work and urged facilitating better access to information.
Deputy governors, in addition to emphasizing on the importance of media work, promised government agencies’ improved cooperation and provision of better facilities to journalists.
The AJSC has been working for facilitating better work relationships between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
