The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) shared challenges facing journalists and media houses with Mawlawi Asadullah Sunan, deputy governor of Kapisa province, in a meeting held in this province.
Saadullah Salihi, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Kapisa, in addition to providing information on AJSC’s activities, discussed challenges facing journalists and media workers, the overall media situation in this province, journalists’ safety and access to information, and creating better working relationship between media and government.
Deputy governor of Kapisa, in addition to announcing his support for media and journalists, promised to work to address challenges media houses are faced with.
The AJSC has been working for facilitating better work relationships between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
