The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized advocacy and coordination meetings with government officials, local media managers and journalists of Ghor province.
These meeting were held with Mawlawi Abdul Hai Zaeim, head of information and culture directorate and Mawlawi Sediqullah Shaheen Musafer, police chief of Ghor province.
Ghulam Rabani Hadafmand, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Ghor, in addition to sharing information on AJSC activities, discussed issues such as access to information, journalists’ safety, and creating better working relations between government and media.
In the advocacy meetings, government officials of Ghor province, promised that government agencies will facilitate improved cooperation and coordination with the media, especially in journalists’ access to information.
The AJSC has been working for facilitating better work relationships between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
