The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), to address challenges facing media work, met with Mawlawi Ziualhaq Haqmal, acting deputy minister of publication of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MOIC).
Abdul Wahid Wahdat, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Baghlan province, in addition to providing information on AJSC’s activities, discussed challenges facing journalists and media workers, the overall media situation in this province, journalists’ safety and access to information.
In the meeting, Mr.Haqmal emphasized on addressing challenges facing journalists and media houses of Baghlan province and said that he’ll share the challenges with the IEA’s senior officials and international organizations.
The AJSC has been working for facilitating better working relationships between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
