To address challenges facing media work, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized separate advocacy meetings with Mawlawi Abdullah Haqqani, depty governor of Kunar province and Mawlawi Muhibullah Hamas, deputy governor of Zabul province.
In the meetings, topics such as the overall media situation in these provinces, journalists’ safety and access to information, creating better working relationships between the government and media were discussed.
In these meetings, AJSC emphasized on addressing challenges facing media work and urged facilitating better access to information.
Deputy governors appreciated AJSC’s work and activities and promised government agencies’ improved cooperation and provision of better facilities to journalists.
