The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), which endeavored for the resumption of the broadcast of Begum and Jawanan radio stations and followed up this matter closely with relevant authorities, welcomes the resumption of these media outlets’ broadcast.
Begum and Jawanan radio stations’ broadcast was suspended due violations of terms of broadcasting licence, have now resumed their activities according to a resolution of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC).
AJSC urges the government to address all media violation cases through the Media Violations Commission.
Given the current circumstances, resumption of activities of these two media outlets enable citizens to access credible information and stay informed of crucial matters.
AJSC has been continuously working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and media workers.
