The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) welcomes the release of four local media managers in Khost province.
The managers of Gharghasht Tv, Chinar Radio Station, Nunn FM Radio Station and Woles Ghag Radio Station in Khost province, who had been summoned to the Directorate of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Khost province on Monday, May 8, were released after two days following AJSC’s efforts in the center and southeast zone.
The officials of the said directorate in Khost told the AJSC representative that these media managers were invited for a reformative seminar.
The AJSC urges the government officials to address all media violation cases through the recently established Joint Media-Government Coordination Committee (JMGCC) in this province.
The AJSC has been continuously working for Afghan journalists’ rights and safety.
