The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) welcomes the release of Sultan Ali Jawadi, editor in chief of Nasim Radio station in Daikundi province.
Sultan Ali Jawadi was arrested last year and was sentenced to one year in prison by a court, however, he was released on the occasion of Eid, after serving six months of his sentence.
The AJSC urges the government officials to address all media violation cases through the Commission for Media Violations (CMV).
The AJSC has been continuously working for Afghan journalists’ rights and safety.
