The Gender Unit of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) visited the Killid Group, Rah-e Farda Tv, Pazhwak News Agency, and Khama Press.
The meetings with senior officials and female journalists of the abovementioned media outlets aim to institutionalize women’s role in the media and address challenges facing women journalists and media workers.
In these meetings, a wide range of issues and challenges that women journalists and media workers face in their day-to-day activities such as access to information, coverage of news events, restrictions in the workplace, mental health problems, and a decrease in the number of professional media workers have been discussed.
