AJSC Holds Advocacy Meeting with Head of Information and Culture Directorate of Ghazni Province
The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized an advocacy meeting with Mawlawi Hamidullah Nisar, head of information and culture directorate, media managers and local journalists of Ghazni province.
Gulabudin Amiri, AJSC’s coordinator for the central zone, discussed journalists’ issues such as access to information, safety, extending media licenses, creating better working relationship between media and government and addressing financial issues of media houses.
Director of Ghazni’s information and culture directorate in addition to emphasizing on the IEA’s support for the media, said that journalists’ access to information has improved compared to the past and the necessary coordination between media and government is in place.
The AJSC has been working for facilitating better working relationships between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
